About the Style: Swara Flow
This style of practice is based on the methodologies of classical yoga, tantric hatha yoga, tantra, and informed by ayurveda, and is also influenced by modern “vinyasa flow” practices (which is in itself a type of hatha yoga).
We aim to enhance the flow of life force (prana) to create radiant health, robust energy, mental clarity and insights into the Self.
Mainly practiced through the connection of breath and movement, we work to establish personal harmony and balance through practice that is, in itself, balanced. You should leave the class feeling light, energised and relaxed, and in no way depleted (this ain’t no bootcamp folks!).
Our main method is based on the movement and flow of the body, guided by the breath and prana - the main forces responsible for keeping us alive.
Strengthening and stretching does happen naturally along the way, but this is not the primary focus.
Starting with simple movement patterns, Swara creates the connection of breath to the expansion and contraction of the body which enhances our powerful, natural flow of life force. Gradually, the breath is joined to more complex flows, which result in a very unique experience of yoga, and wonderful results.
